Daniel Davies began studying the piano at the age of five with world-renowned concert pianist and master pedagogue Ffrancgon Davies. Due to daily supervised practice sessions, by the age of twelve Daniel was soloing with orchestras in Australia and winning numerous prizes and competitions. The following year Daniel was asked to perform for a gala Red Cross concert with the Tchaikovsky Competition winner, violinist Jane Peters.

After mastering much of the classical piano repertoire Daniel developed an interest in Jazz performance, and went on to earn his degree in Jazz Piano and Voice at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Daniel spent the next five years as a sought after session player for commercials and other recording projects.

According to Daniel, "My teaching philosophy is to make music an enjoyable creative experience at any level of development, and I pay close attention to proper technique and ear training with the least amount of tension. I want to make the learning experience as fun as possible, so I allow students to pick their own repertoire and enjoy shaping the lesson to their unique musical taste. That being said, I encourage students to study scales and harmony, so that they have a thorough grounding on which to build.  I have extensive experience teaching students of all levels in Classical, Jazz and Rock and have guided students through the syllabus system in Australia and England."
